Deer Don and mr D.B. Keele, congratulations, you rock (both)!
A bit late perhaps, sorry about that, but i’m recently entering all kinds of discussions on audio forums, in search of what i still consider the holy grail of (home) audio: Constant Directivity. And then your son broke in on ASReview! He made us aware of this site, and now i realise i was here before.
Because you are one of the giants who’s shoulders everyone in search of CD stands on. Together with Siggy, Floyd and numerous others of course, but your CBT’s show insights about which hardly any paper was to be found at the time you presented them.
I’m now searching for solutions to the open baffle dipole line array challenges, which are plentiful, but many of which can be reasonably mitigated tx to you, and some of which i’ll be happy to have sleepless nights about.
Your website will definitely be one of the sources i am gonna spell to the last letter to find everything relevant to my project. If it succeeds i’ll be mentioning you, because your brilliant insights are indispensable for the acoustics of my design experiments.
Thank you thank you thank you, may you enjoy many healthy and happy years while we’re both still here.
Warm regards from Amsterdam,
Yuri Halberstadt

Thank you for your reply, Yuri! Don and D. B. are the same. Don is his nickname, for he only has a first initial on his birth certificate. I used to have a snippet explaining his name on the old site. I need to re-add it to this one.

Hey DB happy belated birthday. The big 85. I was remembering those days back when we were commuting to college at Cal Poly. I also remember the time we were visiting Maurita and Judy at the beach and you were in the bathroom and started laughing. We were curious and you said you had told yourself a joke. 🙂 Still makes me smile.
